Today we went to Kirkstall Abbey. It was so fun and I learned so much! I think Henry VIII was a very interesting guy and I was glad that my friend got to dress up as him. We did amazing things like sketching the abbey and learning how the monks ate in their 'dining room'. After lunch, we took a lovely stroll by the river and saw the outside of the abbey. There were lots of ruins. Sadly, it was time to return to school, but what a day!
